LEAD PASTOR
Kirk Evans graduated from Nebraska Christian College. Upon graduation he accepted a Youth Ministry position at Central Church of Christ in Griswold, IA. After five years Kirk, his wife, Rebecca and their daughter, Faith, moved to Ceres, CA to serve as the Associate Pastor.
Over the next nine years they strived to encourage and build the ministry at Grace Community Christian Church while adding to their own family with two boys, Deacon and Parker. On October 1, 2012, Kirk began his ministry with the Indianola Church of Christ as Senior Pastor.

If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?
It would have to be Jamaica’s beautiful coast line with its small colorful fishing boats and lush vegetation as the sun is setting.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Play the Harmonica.
Who in the Bible would be your best friend?
Barnabas.
What story does your family always tell about you?
It would be a the time that I was attacked by a rooster.
FAMILY PASTOR
Nathan Lichter grew up near Newell, Iowa and earned a degree in Religion from Northwestern College in Orange City. He and his wife Stephanie were married in 2009 and have been blessed with 4 children; Kjerstin, Adelaide, Isabelle and Emmett. They spent 14 years farming with Steph’s family and also raised pigs, sheep and bison. Nathan also worked as a truck driver, dispatcher and equipment rental associate. Nathan grew up attending Northwest Christian Church in Alta and after serving several years there as an Elder, answered the call to vocational ministry. He served for one year, part-time, as a Pastoral Resident at the Rockwell City Church of Christ in partnership with CEM and then he and his family moved to Indianola and began serving as the Family Pastor on August 1, 2024.

What story does your family always tell about you?
The time one of the kids got car-sick on a road-trip and I was more concerned with everyone missing the beautiful sunset as we drove over the Missouri River.
